Flexible Respite Options (TDT)
Referrals assessed individually. Respite packages given to following - High physical/medical support needs - Ageing carers i.e. carers over 65 yrs (ATSI 45yrs) - People not accessing or eligible for existing services - Carers providing care for more 30 yrs (ATSI 10yrs) - Families in crisis. Limited support available for people with high physical needs in Wingecarribee and Eurobodalla LGAs. Vacation care/after school care for children with a disability aged 12-18 in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama. New Funding - short term project which ceases 30/6/2008 which provides Flexible respite for Ageing parent Carers in Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama areas. Priorty given to unpaid carers over 70 (ATSI 45) or over 65 for carers requiring hospitalisation. - One off Respite in Wollongong area for people with a disability under 65yrs. Program of planned In home care outside of normal office hours (up to 2 weeks of care in 2 years)
