Visit supplier >Placement And Support Service (PASS) is a service for people aged 13-18 who need somewhere safe to live. They have a range of volunteer carers who provide accommodation to young people. Carers offer stability in a safe environment and assist to develop independent living skills. Placement with a carer can be short, medium or long term and is negotiated with the young person and carer with support from PASS workers. While young people are living in a placement, they receive intensive support, case planning and referral from a youth worker. Youth are encouraged and supported to continue school or other activities. Where appropriate, PASS works with families and engages other services to assist in family reconciliation. Carers receive intensive training and support during their time with PASS. Care is taken to ensure young people and carers are matched to maximise the success of a placement.
