Commonwealth Respite and Carelink Centres aim to support carers by facilitating their access to respite care, information and other forms of support or assistance, according to the needs and preferences of the carer. Through the Carelink Information Service the Centre provides information to assist older Australians and younger people with a disability access information on services available in their region that can assist them in living independently. Operates the Residential Respite Booking service, Young Carers at risk program, Mental Health respite program, and has funding available to eligible working and ageing carers.
